Modeling Portraits-The Shutterbug Kickoff!

Hello, hope everyone is well. I am posting some of the portraits for the Modeling Portraits downtown. We had an awesome time and didnt stop till we were exhausted.
I love when other people name my photos.. a lot of comments on facebook and I have learned that the photo on the right has been called "Old Hollywood" I absolutely love the idea of that!

This photo shoot was a way for me to get out of a creative rut and to help my model appreciate all the hard work she has done. I truly believe that at some point in a woman's life ..she needs to see her self in a different way, a different light that uplifts her.. I had a blast working with Lynnette. Her spirit was easy to capture, we spent over 4 hours in extreme heat to get these shots and she was up for ANYTHING I suggested. We both were able to have fun and be ourselves. Thank you Lynnette for believing in the both of us.

Updates, Projects & Specials

It has been some time since the Tornadoes have passed and we continue to recover. My family is ok but I know many are not and still struggling. My prayers continue for everyone.

I could not find the heart to go out and photograph such devistation. It was a great debate within myself to stay away. This is a well documented disaster and I knew that they Emergency, Medial and Power Crews needed to be there more than I needed to be around with my camera.

I would like to update you on a few things that are currently happening. I am waiting on coporate approval from David's Bridal to be able to use their dresses for several modeling sessions. My model Lynnette will be my first session and our theme is Southern Belle meets Urban. I will be taking her downtown to several locations in Birmingham to start one of what will be many sessions. I have included the locations of the Alabama Theatre along with Sloss Furnaces.  If any of my brides or potential brides are interested in being a part of this project, please email me. This will (I hope) be a continuous and at least a yearly if not monthly event.

Also the "Grooms Gift" is still available till the end of this month (May). This is a special Studio Portrait Session for Brides only. They will get a session with me, so that they may give the groom a wedding gift of images, just for his eyes only. Book your wedding and save your date by May 31st and this is included in ANY package of your choice.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from you all.

New Albums!

Hello everyone, Hope that this Friday finds you all well with great plans for the weekend!
I wanted to showcase my new wedding albums. Super excited to be getting new products in, a long overdue task.

These albums are designed  by me with the ability for each client to approve of the design before print production. I like for everyone to get what they want. Now offering several colors, no longer is today's modern bride or family stuck with Black or White! These albums are very intricate and they have the lay flat spine feature so that no photograph gets lost in the middle. I love that! Each couple I have the pleasure of working for, I strive to make thier albums unique and let it tell THEIR story.

I hope I get to do more of these they are so beautiful. Here are a few photos of the lay outs. There are more examples on my facebook fan page.
